My Favorite Wellness Travel Essentials: How I Stay Healthy & Grounded On-The-Go

Wellness travel essentials- feel your best when on-the-go

Travel wellness essentials- what I pack to stay feeling my best when away from home

Whether you’re traveling for summer vacay, to visit family, for work, or for one of our kids’ activities, staying well on-the-go doesn’t have to be complicated. From helping me to sleep better while away to maintaining a healthy gut while traveling to helping me care for my skin to helping organize “all the things”, these essentials help me to feel my best while traveling…. you know, so I can actually enjoy the trip ;)

Supplements

  • Magnesium is a game changer for better sleep and helping to support digestive functioning (always a plus when away from home). It can also help with reducing muscle aches or pains if you have a more active trip planned. I like this Magnesium Breakthrough which contains 7 forms of magnesium - promoting better sleep, helping in muscle recovery, and promoting an overall sense of calm. I also like using this Magnesium Oil Spray on my feet at night to reduce stress and improve sleep. I also spray it on any aching muscles as it also has arnica.

  • This travel supplement/medicine organizer is compact and can easily be thrown in your carry-on or large purse. It also comes with labels making it easy to organize your supplements/meds.

  • I’m a big fan of the LMNT electrolytes. I drink them most mornings and always bring them with me on vacation to stay hydrated. They are salty for sure, so if you haven’t tried them yet, maybe start with half a packet and go from there. The citrus salt is my personal favorite followed by the watermelon salt.

  • This greens powder from Sarah Wragge Wellness helps to reduce acidity, boost your body’s natural detoxification process, and helps aid in digestion, so it has become a go-to travel essential for me. It comes in individual packets that are easy to take on the go. I will sometimes pack my mini frother to help mix it up, but you can stir with a spoon or pour into a bottle of water and shake it up :)

Skincare

  • Oak Essentials has been a favorite skincare brand of mine recently. I’m especially loving the hydration hero set for travel (especially when traveling via plane or to a dryer climate). This duo helps lock in moisture and leaves your skin glowing. I also use their lip conditioning balm nightly. If you are looking to test out some products before committing to something bigger, they have a travel set that includes the moisture rich balm and ritual oil from the hydration hero set along with some other items, and they are the perfect sizes to take on the go.

  • I love the Osea body oil and this travel-sized one is only $16 and actually lasts a while. Smells so good and locks in moisture!

  • These reusable/refillable toiletry containers are leak-proof and perfect for taking your shampoo, conditioner, lotion, etc with you on vacation.

  • This travel cosmetic bag can hold SO much! I’ve had mine for a couple of years now, and I take it with me on every trip.

  • The Saie Slip Tint is the perfect lightweight tinted moisturizer, and it has SPF 35. I wear it daily for sun protection- even works well at the beach.

  • I’m a huge fan of red light therapy (from reducing fine lines and wrinkles to the anti-inflammatory benefits), and this red light therapy wand is the perfect travel companion. You can keep up with your skincare routine while away, but I also use it at home. If I don’t feel like sitting in front of the full panel, I will use the wand on my face while reading a book before bed.

Clean Snacks

  • Being gluten free, I usually pack a few snacks with me. These Sakara Metabolism Bars are great to have on hand for breakfast or a snack when traveling. They contain 12g of plant-based protein, 9g of fiber, and are sweetened with date paste.

  • When I’m craving a salty snack, these Simple Mills crackers hit the spot.

Movement

  • Usually I look for a gym or plan on walking a lot while away, but I will also bring my Bala bangles or these resistance bands for an easy workout in my hotel room or rental.

With a few intentional essentials, you can support your energy, digestion, mood, skin, and sleep so you can feel your best wherever you travel. These are the things that help me while away, and I hope they inspire you to create your own feel-good travel kit. Whether it’s a weekend getaway or a longer adventure, you deserve to feel good while you explore.
